How did Einstein Bros. Bagels fit into our holiday tradition this year? Good question! Three years ago our family decided to head into the woods and cut down the family Christmas tree. Since then it has become our yearly tradition. It’s such a fun adventure and something we look forward to much more than visiting a tree lot. I guess you could say we think of it as our annual Griswald tradition.
The only thing that we didn’t care for about this new way of finding our yearly Christmas tree was that we had to get on the road very early. When you have 2 children that like to sleep, it makes it hard to get up and get going. Let’s just say that mama gets hangry when she doesn’t get fed by a certain time. That’s where Einstein Bagels made this year just perfect!
Einstein Bros. Bagels has a bulk bagels offering that is great for getting together with family. For us cutting down the Christmas tree involves my family, my parents, and my sisters family. With Einsteins bulk bagels we were able to grab a bakers dozen that had a little bit of something for everyone’s taste buds. The bakers dozen selection also came with 2 tubs of shmears. Packaged perfectly for grabbing and going, we were able to get everyone fed and make it on time to the state park before all the good trees were gone.
Cutting down the perfect Christmas tree is the best way to get into the holiday spirit. Being on the mountain with all the smells of the forest make it such a special time with the family. We all leave feeling happy and connected with family and nature. Oh, after climbing the mountain all day, we also leave feeling very hungry! It’s a good thing that bagels travel well.
