I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Sprint and the Samsung Galaxy Note5. I received product to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
Those of you that read my blog regularly, know that I am an iPhone gal. I have had an iPhone for as long as I can remember, but over the past couple of years I have begun to wonder about how the other side lives (the Android lovers). My sister is one of those people that made the switch and says she loves it. So when I was given the opportunity to give the Samsung Galaxy Note5 through Sprint a try, I couldn’t wait to explore and learn as much as I could.
I am the first to admit that an Android is a completely different type of phone than what I am used to. So learning about everything will take me a little longer than the time frame I have had at this point. However, what I have picked up thus far has been pretty amazing. I am definitely loving the Galaxy Note5 and can understand the pull towards an Android Smartphone.
The most obvious thing I love about the Galaxy Note5 is the camera. The Galaxy Note5 features a 16-megapixel, rear facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The clarity of the pictures are better than any I have seen from a smartphone camera and I have tried several. It also has an impressive 5.7-inch Quad Super AMOLED display that allows for the larger viewing screen when taking a video or photo.
For social media lovers such as myself, it has the coolest feature for shooting videos. Even if you aren’t into social media, this feature is awesome. It is called Video collage. When you go into the camera and select Video collage mode, you are able to shoot 3,6,9 or 15 seconds of video in up to 4 different screens. This is such a fun feature that gives me the ability to film what I want, when I’m ready and then upload to Instagram or share immediately with family by email/text. It’s exactly what you need to make perfect collages while on the go.
Love, love this mode on the Samsung Galaxy Note5!
This may sound silly, but since I have started using this smartphone, I know more about what’s happening in the news. If you swipe all the way over to the right once you enter your home screen, it takes you to briefing. Briefing is basically the news that is happening around the world, but with you being able to change the settings to see what interests you the most.
If you don’t care about business or science, you can simply unclick those in the settings and you will no longer see those types of stories. It’s simple and quick to customize your news anyway you like it.
There is also an app called Flipboard that I love. Flipboard is a social news magazine that lets me pick topics of my liking and share them with the people I choose. This is one of the coolest apps I have used by far. You can select 5 or more topics that range from cute animals to paranormal and everything in between. Then the best stories are handpicked for you to check out. It reminds me of Pinterest, in the sense that once you start reading, you could be there a while.
The last of the 3 things that I love about the Samsung Galaxy Note5 is the refined S Pen. It fits directly into the bottom of the phone which makes it much harder to misplace. I have always liked having a stylus for my computer, and I like it even more on the Galaxy Note5. Being able to draw, easily write and capture notes quickly and easily is key for me. My phone becomes the place I put everything. Having the S Pen and the large 5.7-inch screen gives me the perfect amount of writing space to stay more organized.
It’s also fun to draw on my children’s pictures and give them mustaches. They always get a kick out of it.
Sprint has some incredible Family Plans that work well if you are switching to Sprint. Families switching to Sprint get four lines with unlimited talk, text and 40GB of high-speed data to share while on the Sprint network for $120 per month.(not including taxes and surcharges).
Samsung is sweetening the deal by giving new and existing customers that purchase and activate a Samsung Galaxy Note5 by Nov. 30 a year of Amazon Prime for FREE!! Don’t even get me started on how important my Amazon Prime account is to me. Can’t live without it!! With Amazon Prime, members get free 2 day shipping on over 20 million products. You also gain access to tens of thousands of movies and TV episodes with Prime Video, unlimited photo storage and ad-free streaming of over a million sounds.
Find your local Sprint store by visiting this link. If someone on your holiday list is looking to purchase a new phone, be sure to have them check out the Samsung Galaxy Note5. I’m already thinking it may be time for me to switch and I haven’t come close to learning everything.
If you are already using an Android, I’d love to hear your thoughts on them.
