I am not sure about you guys, but it seems like everyone I know, including myself is always “starting” a diet.
Planning a vacation, going on a diet…..
Summer is close, going on a diet……
My comfy pants are feeling tight, going on a diet…..
I seem to fail at diets more than I succeed, which is why I am not a big believer in diets in general. Yet, here I am again looking into another diet in the hopes that it will be the one! I guess I just don’t know when to quit trying.
The diet I am talking about is called “7 Years Younger, The Anti-Aging Breakthrough Diet“. This book is from the editors of Good Housekeeping.
I had heard of the book titled, “7 Years Younger” as promoted by Dr. Oz. It was on my list of must reads, but I never got around to it. So when I was offered the newer book, “7 Years Younger, The Anti-Aging Breakthrough Diet“, it sounded like it contained the best of both worlds. I mean who doesn’t want to feel 7 years younger while losing weight at the same time. According to the cover, you can lose 20 pounds or more.
I have not begun the program yet, as I am taking the time to read the book and learn all about it first. I like to make sure it looks like something that will work for me and my body, because let’s face it, not every diet is designed for everyone. Which is probably why so many of us fail over and over.
So far from what I have read, I like that this book is geared more towards changing your lifestyle than actually “dieting”. Like many other diets, it tries to help you learn how to rethink your eating habits and include exercise into your daily life.
With the combination of both diet, exercises and expert advice offered throughout the book, I can see how the success stories lost their weight. There are several recipes for smoothies, breakfast, lunch and dinner that sound like something I would enjoy eating. They don’t really even seem like diet foods. One of my favorite parts of the book is that they offer suggestions for the times that you eat out at restaurants.
I have a trip planned for Disney soon, so I am going to put off starting until I get back. However from what I have read so far, I am definitely going to give it a try. Maybe this will be the time I actually lose weight and keep it off….
If you have tried “7 Year Younger, The Anti-Aging Breakthrough Diet”, I would love to hear your results with it. If I have great success, I will share my results with you guys as well.
