Wreck-It Ralph Activities and Review

My kids and I try to do dates together at least once a month.  They love to have special time with mommy and/or daddy to just go out and have fun.

One of our recent dates was to head to theaters to see Wreck-It Ralph, so it is hard to believe it is already out in stores.  I knew the kids would be very excited when they saw that I had received a copy for us to watch at home.  The first thing they said was, ” Mommy we saw that movie on our date.”

If you didn’t have the opportunity to see Wreck-It Ralph in the theater, you should definitely take the time to watch it now.  The movie focuses around the world of video games and good vs. bad.

Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) is known as the “bad” guy in the game Fix-it Felix, Jr. (voice of Jack McBrayer)  For as long as Ralph can remember, he has always been left out, because he wrecks things.  On the other hand, Felix Jr. is loved and adored by all the members of the Fix-it Felix, Jr. game community.

Eventually, Ralph decides that he no longer wants to be the “bad” guy.  He wants to be seen for the nice guy he actually is.  Longing for acceptance from others at the arcade, Ralph goes rogue in the hopes of proving himself.

During his journey, Ralph encounters many gaming characters, including a glitch by the name of Vanellope von Schweetz.  Vanellope von Schweetz (voiced by Sarah Silverman), a feisty young girl that is considered an outcast, is from the game Hero’s Duty.

It doesn’t take long for Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz to create a friendship and show each other that there is a hero inside both of them.

This is a fun movie that shows children it is never to late to change your path in life.  It is also a great reminder to everyone that “good” lies within all of us.  It is our choice as to whether we choose that path or not.

You can pick up a copy of Walt Disney Animation Studios Wreck-It Ralph in stores now.  It is available in a Blu-ray Combo pack for only $19.99 through Amazon.com.  You can also purchase the DVD for $16.99.

I would give Wreck-It Ralph 4 out of 5 stars.

I received a copy of the movie for review and to share my honest opinions with my readers.  All opinions are 100% my own. Affiliate links are included within this post.
