Our family was very excited when this past Christmas, Santa brought us a Nintendo Wii U for under the tree. I always love when we can find a gift that we all enjoy.
We actually have been playing it so much that we started to feel guilty about not sharing the fun with our friends. That’s why we decided it was time to host a Wii U party.
The first guests to arrive to our home were of course, Mario and Luigi. I mean what Nintendo party could be complete without these two special little guys? Besides, we have been playing Super Mario Bros. for the Wii U so much that they feel like part of the family.
Shortly after, the rest of the guests began to arrive for an evening full of food, dancing, singing and trivia.
We started the night off slowly by having the kids and adults play a little Nintendo Land. As you can see in the above picture, they were all having a good time. However, it wasn’t long before we decided it was time to get people on their feet!
The perfect game to do just that is called SiNG Party. Not only did SiNG Party get the party goers up and moving, it also got us up and singing. Well, at least a couple of us were brave enough to give it a try.
Regardless, everyone had fun watching those of us that did get our groove on make fools out of ourselves. Hey, when you are with friends, it’s all good!
Originally, the party was only scheduled to go on for a couple of hours, but there was no way we were shutting things down that early. We decided to keep things going for as long as the kids could hold out.
We finished off the night by testing our knowledge with a game of Jeopardy for the Wii U. It didn’t take me long to figure out that I am not the brightest bulb in the four pack. Oh well, I kinda already knew that.
As the night came to an end, I was so thankful for great friends, yummy food, tasty drinks and of course, Nintendo Wii U.
I am looking forward to having everyone over again soon for another game night. When was the last time you had friends over for a night of gaming fun?
Special thanks to Nintendo for helping our family to host a great evening for our guests.
