Hershey’s KISSES have long been included in many of my sweetest memories. They have been a part of helping me to heal boo boo’s, bake delicious treats and bring a smile to the faces of those I love.
The latter of the three is of course my favorite, I mean who doesn’t enjoy bringing happiness to others? Besides, when you purchase a bag of Hershey’s KISSES, there is always plenty to share with yourself.
Here is a true Hershey’s KISSES sweetest memory that I think captures what this particular chocolate is all about.
MY SWEETEST HERSHEY’S KISSES MEMORY:
My son really struggled this year with starting kindergarten. I should say that we both really struggled. He has always been very attached to his mama and leaving me was extremely hard for him. Everyday when I would drop him off, he would cry and beg me not to leave him. What mother wouldn’t struggle with that?
Since he feeds off of my emotions a lot, I would always “try” to be strong. ( Until I walked away this is.)
I tried many things to try to help him to cope with the new change in his life, including one that is my “Sweetest Hershey’s KISSES Memory.”
Each day I would prepare his snack and place it inside his backpack with a little note. One of the schools rules is that you are not allowed to give candy as a snack. This particular day, I decided to break the rules a “little”. Hey, Hershey’s KISSES are little, right:)
I grabbed a snack sized bag and filled it with goldfish crackers. In addition, I placed three Hershey’s KISSES inside the baggie as well. The note read, I’m thinking of you sweetie. Here are a few kisses from mommy for my favorite boy. See you soon.
I picked him up after school like usual, except on this day, he did something to surprise me. When he walked over to me, he handed me one single Hershey’s KISSES. I could tell he had been holding it in his hand for a bit, because it was starting to slightly melt. I asked him why he didn’t eat it and he said, I was saving this kiss for you mommy.
I don’t think there could be a sweeter memory in the world than that one moment. That’s the kind of thing that melts a mommies heart.
Now it’s your turn, one of my readers has the chance to win four (4) bags of Hershey’s KISSES all for themselves. Go make some of your own “Sweetest Memories” with Hershey’s KISSES.
GOOD LUCK!
