The InnoTab 2 by VTech: A Great Learning Tablet

Since our children were very young, we have always had VTech products in our home.  Because of this, they are a brand that we trust and continue to purchase with each new stage of development.

We have often seen the InnoTab sitting on retail shelves, but to be honest, we never realized it was part of the VTech line.  We weren’t ready for this type of product until recently, so I guess we just never paid attention.  Luckily for our kids, VTech has recently come out with the InnoTab 2, so they are getting the opportunity to explore everything it has to offer.

From the moment it arrived at our home, the kids began to argue over who would check it out first.  After all, it is like an iPad for kids, except a lot less expensive and less breakable.  I don’t know about you guys, but even as an adult, I can’t wait to try out the newest technology.

My sons favorite feature right away was the rotating camera.  The camera allowed for him to take pictures of himself and of us, which he did a lot!  I guess it is payback time, since we are always shooting pictures of them.

The camera feature also allowed the kids to take a photo of themselves and use it with the motion games.  They loved seeing themselves as part of the action on the large 5″ screen.  It made for great entertainment for both our 3 and 5 year old.

The VTech InnoTab 2 has many features that make it superior to other children’s learning tablets.  As a parent, I really appreciate that they also keep cost in mind.  The InnoTab 2 retails for $79.99 and apps can be purchased from between $2.99-4.99.

With the InnoTab, it can grow with your children.  It is designed for ages 3-9, which means that either of our children can use it.  (At least when they are in a sharing mood.)
