How many of us have made the New Year’s Resolution once again to try and lose weight? That’s right, don’t be ashamed to admit it. I can’t begin to tell you the number of times that I have chosen that as a way to start my new year and then failed miserably. That’s why this year, I have refused to have that be part of my list.
I do have a method to my madness. I definitely still want to lose weight and have better health overall, but this way I won’t be disappointed in myself if I don’t meet that goal. I may even be pleasantly surprised if over the course of the year, I actually lose a pound or ten. Hey a girl is allowed to dream!
One thing that I know about myself is that joining a gym is not an option at this point in my life. With two little ones running around and money being tight, I don’t have the time or financial means to add that to my plate.
I also know that workout DVD’s don’t usually hold my interests. I’m not very coordinated and trying to keep up with the instructors from the land of the beautiful people on the DVD’ s just frustrates me. You would think all those hot little bodies would motivate me, unfortunately it is just the opposite for me. Instead I end up watching the DVD while eating a bag of chips and wondering why I can’t look that good.
So now that I have shared what doesn’t work for me, I do have something that does. I love to dance! As I mentioned earlier, I am not coordinated doing it and it isn’t pretty, but it gets my blood pumping.
I have decided that a great way to make sure I get my dancing in each day is to combine two of my loves, gaming and dancing together. I can do this by playing Just Dance 3 by Ubisoft.
Just before the holidays I was sent a copy a Just Dance 3 to review. I own the previous versions of Just Dance and have always enjoyed getting my groove on to them. However, Just Dance 3 has over 40 of the hottest new tracks to get you moving.
Once I put Just Dance 3 into our Wii, I was breaking a sweat in no time. I love getting a fun workout while being in my own home with my kids. As you can tell from the video, we all had a dance-off during our holiday. The rating for Just Dance 3 is 10+, but we had ages 2-65 having a great time. My son and niece even decided that no Wii remote was required to get funky.

Just Sweat it Out – Perfect for my New Year plan!
Fabulous songs like Pump It by the Black Eyed Peas, Dynamite by Taio Cruz and California Gurls by Katy Perry.
In a nutshell, Just Dance 3 is everything I loved about Just Dance, only better! I’m looking forward to “No Resolutions” this year while hopefully dancing away a pound or two.
Do you have a way you like to exercise while at the same time having fun? I’m always open to suggestions…..
