I think of myself as a fairly independent, strong woman. However, I am not afraid to admit that I get scared like the rest of us. Oh there was a time when I thought I was bullet proof, but not anymore. I guess you could say that I have turned in my Supergirl cape.
The younger version of myself did so many reckless things without thinking of the possible consequences. I took long road trips by myself, walked through dark parking lots alone and drove home from dance clubs late at night. Now that I am a mom, I know what a nightmare that must have been for my parents.
I have to cut myself a little bit of slack though since things were very different when I was growing up. I’m not talking about with the safety aspect, but rather the type of technology that was available to me. Thank goodness things have improved drastically with technology these days.

When the app is first downloaded, you will be asked to choose who you would like to be your “guardians”. The word guardians in this case is exactly what it sounds like: Guardian: a person who cares for persons or property. defender, protector.
The guardians you select will be stored as the people to be contacted should you ever feel yourself in a threatening situation. With the push of a button (SOS), each person you have added as your guardians are sent a text message saying you need help and showing your exact location. Also, the one guardian you choose during setup will be called in addition to the SMS. If you prefer, you can hit location instead of SOS to just let your guardians know your whereabouts.
I can think of so many ways that the bSafe app could come in handy. A few examples I thought of where walking to the car while Christmas shopping, you break down while driving, a teenager out on a date, or really at any time where you find yourself alone. With the bSafe app, you never walk alone!
Another feature that the application offers is the ability to make a fake call. With the push of one button, your phone will begin to ring as if you are receiving a phone call. Sometimes it is something as little as that to deter a person from choosing you as their target. It can also be a great way to get out of a date that’s not going so well. I’m just sayin’.
