Family Movie Night is something we truly enjoy in our home. We try at least once a week to sit down with each other and watch a program together as a family. For this reason, I am so glad to see that companies like Walmart and Proctor & Gamble are noticing the need for wonderful family programming.
My children are still too young for the movies being produced as part of the “Family Movie Night” movies, however, I thoroughly enjoy viewing them. I have seen each movie created by Walmart and Proctor & Gamble and I would feel comfortable watching any of them with my children. I haven’t been able to say that about a movie that wasn’t animated in a long time. To be honest, even some animated movies aren’t really that appropriate for children.
It is refreshing to have movies debuting like the newest called, Game of Your Life. This show is about a high school boy named Zach Taylor who is given a scholarship into a unique gaming program. When he arrives to campus, he learns that half of the students in the freshman program will be eliminated in the first three months.
They are asked to pair up with three other students to complete an intense project as a team. Zach partners with his two socially awkward roommates, Donald and Phillip as well as Sara, a beautiful girl who he has a slight crush on.
All is going great for Zach until he finds out that his father is having financial problems back home. Luckily for him, he is offered a consulting job by a gaming icon, billionaire Marcus Bentton.
Unfortunately for Zach, he finds that burning the candle at both ends may be more than he can handle.
The thing that I really liked about this latest addition to “Family Movie Night” is that it helps people to see how their actions can affect those around them. Even when Zach thought he was doing what was best, he learns that sometimes things aren’t always what they seem.
Game of Your Life will be airing on Friday, December 2nd at 8/7c on NBC. Be sure to have popcorn on hand so you can have your own “Family Movie Night” at home.
Have you been enjoying the Walmart/Proctor & Gamble Family Movie Night movies? Which one has been your favorite?
