One of the top things on my bucket list is to see all 50 states before my time here is up. It doesn’t matter if I am heading to Maine, Florida, California or Wyoming, one thing I will need when visiting any state is luggage. As a matter of fact, anybody who loves to travel knows the importance of having a nice piece of luggage to carry along with them.
One thing that I was not really aware of until our recent family vacation to Yellowstone National Park was the importance of having nice adventure travel gear. So what exactly is adventure travel gear? To me, it is outdoor luggage that is created to withstand whatever you throw its way. Briggs & Riley BRX Luggage does just that.
A couple of weeks before heading to Wyoming, my hubby, kids and I headed to REI to search for the perfect travel gear to take on our excursions. We were in search of BRX luggage as we headed inside for our mission. REI is one of the locations that carries Briggs & Riley luggage. Unfortunately as we found out, it is only carried in certain REI stores. Therefore it is a good idea to check the Briggs & Riley website before heading out to your local REI.
Going to REI turned out to not be a total waste of our time. After all, we love that store! While we were there, we picked up a few other things we needed. Things like bear bells, whistles and a kid sized backpack that our daughter fell in love with. We teased that it came with its own bear handle on her back in case we needed to grab her and go!![]()
So now that we had all the “Bells and Whistles” we needed, it was time to look on the Briggs & Riley website for where to locate our BRX Luggage. They have it set up so that it is nice and easy to enter your zip code and find the closest store to you.![]()
We were lucky because the store that carried Briggs & Riley was directly across the street. We headed into the Colorado Baggage Co. inside Park Meadows Mall. They had a very nice selection of Briggs & Riley, but we were only looking for the BRX Luggage. We asked the first salesperson we saw and were directed to the back of the store.![]()
It didn’t take my hubby long to start making his selection. It was okay with me since he is usually the one to carry the luggage around. The store did not have all the pieces in the BRX collection, but luckily for us, they had the pieces we really wanted. My only disappointment with the selection was that they did not have one piece in the Amber color. I would really like to have seen that offered.![]()
He is wearing the Excursion Backpack in the above picture. It was the perfect piece of outdoor gear for our upcoming trip. We knew we would be doing hiking and with two small kids, you always need to pack extra things. The most amazing thing about the BRX Luggage that we purchased was the weight of each piece. The Excursion Backpack weighed in at 2 lbs and our other selection (which you will see shortly) was a light 3.1 lbs. We were both blown away by how light they were!
The piece that I decided I couldn’t be without was the Exchange Duffel. It is such a multi-purpose bag that I knew would be great for any type of trip we took. You may not be able to tell from the pictures, but it is a nice large duffel bag that can expand to fit anything you may need to bring along. The website has several pictures that show you how nice and spacious it is.
The reason I called the Exchange 26 Duffel Bag multi-purpose is because it is two bags in one. You can use it as a large backpack or as the perfect sized duffel for packing. I have a feeling that we will eventually end up using it as both. For our trip to Yellowstone, my hubby will probably use it for his personal luggage. (He always gets to use the cool stuff.)
I look forward to sharing with you about how our BRX Luggage held up as we trekked through Yellowstone and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I will have that post up for you in the next couple of days, so be sure to come and see all our fun trip pictures. I promise it will have you packing your bags for a fun excursion soon as well!
Visit the Briggs & Riley website so you can see the entire line of BRX Luggage. There are some really fun additional pieces we hope to add to our collection sometime soon.
