My son loves penguins, so it is no surprise that he is very excited for the upcoming movie by 20th Century Fox, Mr. Popper’s Penguins. When we visited the Omaha Zoo last summer, his favorite exhibit was by far the penguins. It took us forever to get him away from watching them. I will admit I was in no hurry since it was about a thousand degrees outside that day.
The good news is he doesn’t have to wait much longer. Mr. Popper’s Penguins waddles into theaters this Friday, June 17th. Our whole family is really looking forward to this show. My husband has read the book, though I on the other hand had never heard of Mr. Popper’s Penguins until I started seeing the movie previews on television. Being a Jim Carrey fan and an animal lover, it is right up my alley.
Synopsis:
In theaters June 17! The summer movie season’s first live-action family comedy event stars Jim Carrey, whose chilly relationship with his family heats up after he inherits six adorable, lovable and mischievous penguins.
Mr. Popper’s Penguins is based on the award winning classic children’s book.
I am sure we will be heading to see Mr. Popper’s Penguins on Saturday or Sunday when my hubby is off. My son has already said that is what he wants to do for Father’s Day. I hope my husband thinks that is a good gift as well.
