#Fandango: Your own Ticket Agent at your Fingertips. Giveaway!

carsThis week the kids and I went to see two movies. Since it was just the 3 of us, I wanted to simplify things as much as possible. Lines of any kind are not my friend with a two and four year old in tow.

One line I am always able to avoid is the ticket line. Thank goodness to, because when we arrived at the theater on opening day for Cars 2 you can imagine the wait to purchase tickets.

cars10Luckily, there was no wait for this mama and her kiddos. I purchased my tickets in advance using Fandango.com. By purchasing in advance, I not only avoid lines, I also avoid the possibility of the movie being sold out. I have had that happen in the past and let’s just say it was no fun telling the kids we had to wait to see the movie.

Ordering tickets on Fandango.com is like having your own ticketing agent available all hours of the day. You can purchase by using your computer or mobile device. I went online, selected my theater of choice, movie and time preference and clicked buy.

cars18Fandango normally charges a convenience fee of $1.25 per ticket. However, since I selected an AMC Theater and own an AMC Stubs card, that fee was waived. So I paid exactly what I would have paid at the theater window right from my own home.

When I purchased the Cars 2 tickets using Fandango, I also received a free Pixar digital download from iTunes. A fun little perk that keeps me a happy Fandango customer.

Get your tickets ahead of time for upcoming features like: Transformers: Dark of the Moon – 6/29; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 – 7/15, etc. You can find all upcoming features by visiting http://www.fandango.com. You can check out my Intersect story by visiting this link.

As for my thoughts on Cars 2, unfortunately in my opinion it fell short of the original. I normally don’t like sequels though because I have in my head what I would like to see. My four year old enjoyed the action of the racing and of course Lightning McQueen!

I am definitely not sorry that I took the kids to see it. It was cute, just not a movie that I could watch over and over like Cars.

After you’ve seen it, let me know your thoughts on it….
