When I found out I was pregnant, I wanted to be prepared. I purchased all the books, talked to other moms and searched endlessly on the internet for as much information as I could find. I had tried for a year and a half to conceive and now that I was finally becoming a mom, I wanted to know everything.
As with most topics, you can find just about anything you want to know online. However, finding websites that offer accurate and trustworthy information can be the challenging part. When it came to learning about the child I was carrying, I wanted to know I could believe in the website where I received my information.
BabyCenter.com was one of the first websites I was told about from my friends who had already experienced pregnancy. After visiting their website, I could see why it was a favorite among not just moms, but dads too.
One of my particular favorites at BabyCenter.com was the 3D animated video series they offer so you can follow along with your pregnancy. When I was pregnant with both of my children, it was so important for me to share their growth with them. I wanted to know exactly what was going on inside my body. It helped me to feel connected as I watched how my child was developing.
The video series offered by BabyCenter takes you step by step through your pregnancy. The video series begins with week 1-9 and continues all the way through the birth of your child. There are additional videos offered that help you to understand the ways boys and girls develop in the womb, pregnancy meals and what to expect at your ultrasound appointments.
10 months is a long time to wait to meet your baby. As hard as the wait is for you as a mom, it is equally as hard for the father. Being the one to carry your child, you experience everything. It is an amazing time in your life to feel each and every move your child makes. For your husband however, they can begin to feel disconnected and even a little left out. After all, It is a new experience for both mom and dad.
Keeping your husband as informed as possible can help to make them feel included in the pregnancy. My husband loved not only the video series on BabyCenter, but all the information that was offered to us as soon to be parents. He enjoyed having the knowledge of what was going on with my body other than just my nightly cravings.
If you have other children at home, it is also a great way to help them experience the changes mommy is going through as well. During pregnancy, it is so nice to keep everyone in the family involved. It makes your other little ones feel so important!
When visiting BabyCenter.com be sure to subscribe to their free e-mail newsletter that details your pregnancy week by week.
