For me a vacation begins with sunny skies, white sand beneath my feet and an ocean that is a gorgeous color blue. If you can throw in beautiful accommodations, delicious food and exciting adventures for me and my family, then I am sold!
Recently, I was invited to experience a trip to Cabo San Lucas through Discount Mexico Vacation Hotels and The Villa Group. I can honestly say, it met all my above criteria and more.
The Resort: Villa del Palmar Cabo San Lucas Beach Resort
Villa del Palmar is nestled perfectly along the tip of the Baja peninsula. It overlooks Land’s End (No, not the clothing store) which is also referred to as El Arco. Here is where you will find Lover’s Beach, an amazing place for spending the day and snorkeling.
Villa Del Palmar is accompanied by two other luxury resorts, Villa la Estancia and Villa del Arco. They are both equally as visually appealing as the Villa del Palmar. Each resort provides you with incredible amenities like spas, pools, hospitality suites and restaurants.
The pools at the resorts are perfect for families or singles as well. They have thought of each family member when designing these fun water areas. The kids will love sliding out the mouth of “Willy the Whale” at Villa del Palmar or running through the fountain like springs at Villa del Arco.
When you choose the all inclusive package, you will have 8 different restaurants to select from. Each restaurant provides you with delicious foods and drinks and all the ambiance of beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Whether you are looking for the most basic of foods or the best fine dining, you will find it at these three resorts. If you are looking for a tasty and refreshing drink, I highly recommend the Watermelon Martini or Miami Vice. The Miami Vice is part Pina Colada, part Strawberry Daiquiri and 100% yummy!
The accommodations at the Villa del Palmar are everything you would expect for you and your families vacation needs. The room I stayed in during my time at the resort was beautiful. It is actually hard to call it a room, as it was more of a one bedroom apartment.
The newly remodeled rooms have all the accommodations you could possibly need. They include kitchens, Murphy beds for additional sleeping quarters, cable television, wi-fi and the best part a balcony with a gorgeous view! There is nothing like sitting outside on the balcony overlooking the beauty of Cabo to relax you.
All the rooms have convenient locations to the amenities of all three resorts. The staff is friendly and ready to assist you with any needs that may arise.
As you come to your room at the end of the day, you will find your bed turned down with a nice chocolate waiting on the pillow. What more could you ask for?
Well, how about some exciting adventures to keep you busy? You will definitely find that at the Villa Resorts as well. Looking to snorkel, parasail, ride wave runners or just enjoy the ocean….all this is offered to you and more. You never have to go far from the resort to stay active and have fun for all the family. However, if you decide to head into Cabo for other activities like shopping or swimming with dolphins, there is staff waiting to hail you a taxi.
On the second day I was in Cabo, I had one of the best days of my life. I started the day swimming with dolphins. That has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. It was an amazing experience and I will never forget my little dolphin Freida!
Next, I came back to the resort to be pampered at the Desert Spa located at the Villa del Arco. The Desert Spa is unlike any spa I have ever visited and I have visited my share. The minute you walk in, you will be greeted by the amazing aroma of relaxation. They have a wet spa that is included with any service and I highly recommend taking advantage of it.
It is hard to describe the beauty of this spa without actually seeing it. They have created the perfect place to escape and lose yourself for the day. I received an 80 minute aromatherapy massage that will be hard to top. The Desert Spa creates an atmosphere that will have you freeing yourself of any stress and putting you into the vacation mood.
Lastly, I headed to the beach to find myself parasailing with my new found friends. If you guys knew me, you would realize that this is something I would usually NEVER do! However, I guess I was really relaxed from my aromatherapy massage. I had the time of my life floating 600 ft above the ocean chatting with Colleen about what would happen if our sail should fail. LOL
Seriously, this day made my top 10 days of my life. I would not change a thing about it.
