Share Your Pregnant Moment!

I was 34 years old and standing in my bathroom “the moment I knew” I was pregnant.

My husband and I had been trying to conceive for about a year and a half. Every month I was sure that this would be the month. I spent so much money on pregnancy tests that I should have bought stock in them.

Unfortunately, every month the results would come back the same…NEGATIVE!

I know you ladies probably all know that feeling of let down when you are hoping for the POSITIVE result. Through my experience with trying to get pregnant, I learned a whole new respect for couples who are unable to conceive.

After 18 months of negative e.p.t tests, I finally got the result I had been hoping for. It was one of the best moments in my life. Of course I took one more test after the positive just to make sure.

I still have both of my positive pregnancy tests. They are a perfect reminder of that special day.

I couldn’t wait to get to the phone and call my husband Mom. There is just something about telling your mother that you are going to be a mom yourself. “The moment I knew” I was pregnant I knew my life would be changed forever.

I was right!

Yes, EPTs have guided our future 3 times! ;) My most memorable pregnant moment was being 18, hiding in a grocery store bathroom, and shaking uncontrollably when reading the positive. I had to grow up fast…but it all worked out beautifully after all, lol…

My then-boyfriend (now husband) of 6 years and I were on a kind-of break. We were young and had our priorities in all the wrong places. We loved each other though. The moment I found out I was pregnant, I had dropped out of college, was living in a 1 bedroom apt. by myself, not able to pay my rent. I made my bf go get a pregnancy test, and cried – no sobbed – when I saw it was positive. I hate that my memory of something SO LIFE CHANGING had to be sad that day. I was terrified. But, everything since then has been a whirlwind and I am so blessed that that happened. It has enriched every second of my life. Now, 7 years later, we are married (been together almost 13 years); have another little one, have great jobs, and a cute little house. We still love each other every single day. I am so thankful for that scary day…and every day since then. I loved your story too and it was fun sharing!! :)

My first two were exciting, because we were waiting and hoping to become pregnant. My third, however, I was NOT expecting…. I sat in the lab office at our on-site clinic where I worked at the time. The lab tech came in and said Congrats! It's positive and I burst into tears. The lab tech was stunned and had no idea what to say! Needless to say after a good cry and a hug from my hubby I was ecstatic!

After our first pregnancy ended in a loss, when I saw that little positive line it was the BEST feeling ever!

Both moments were wonderful for me and like you I spent more money just to make sure that positive was true. With Gavyn we weren't using anything so if it happened it happened. He was so weird. I was 4 days away from my monthly and we were about to party that night. I had this weird feeling I was pregnant. He ran to the store for me and purchased the confirm test, which has a pull out strip. It was positive. I knew it and I wasn't even late yet. Kinda weird isn't it? I saved the strip. I love this new keepsake EPT test, very cool!

We had been trying to get pregnant for 2 years when we found out I was pregnant! We ran over to my Moms house (literally, we're neighbors), to show her the test!! My step-dad says, let me see that thing, as I'm handing him the pregnancy test, my Mom says, you know, she pee'd on that!! Yeah, he didn't want to see it after that!
