It’s not just about the Red Wagon anymore!

When you think of Radio Flyer what is the first thing that comes to mind? For me, the first thing I think of is a red wagon and being pulled around by my parents on a beautiful summer day. Radio Flyer products have been making memories for families long before I was even born. They have since come a long way from being thought of as the maker of only the red wagon we are all used to.

Radio Flyer is a trusted name in family homes all across America, including my own. I love the products that are offered by this company, because I know the name stands for quality. I was recently sent one of their newest products called the Radio Flyer Scoot 2 Skate.

The Scoot 2 Skate is designed for ages 3-8 years old. My son is three, so he was very excited to be my reviewer. The idea behind the Scoot 2 Skate is to teach balance to younger children in order to prepare them to ride a skateboard. The great thing about the Scoot to Skate is it is two products in one. It starts as a scooter until your child is ready to move on to the skateboard feature. At that point, you simply remove the handle and away they go to skateboard the day away.

I have a video of my 6 year old nephew showing you guys the Scoot 2 Skate in action. My son has unfortunately decided he will not ride it again until I take the handle off. He is just quite sure that he is ready to skateboard, unfortunately, mom is just not as sure as him. (BTW, I say Skate 2 Scoot in the video instead of Scoot 2 Skate. I was having fun videoing him and accidentally said it backwards. SORRY!)

Doesn’t it look like he was having fun? The Radio Flyer Scoot 2 Skate has very cool graphics on the underneath deck. It is made with a wood deck and non-skid surface on the top. If you are trying to help your child with balance while allowing them to have fun at the same time, check out the Scoot 2 Skate. You can find the Scoot 2 Skate at retailers for a suggested retail price of $39.99.

My boys would LOVE this! It looks like more fun than a typical scooter mainly because it's a skateboard! :)

  2. How fun! I love Andrew's "helloooo" as he rides by. This definitely looks like something that my nephew would have a good time on, too.
