I am passing on my “Thankful Thoughts” post today. I wanted to instead tell you guys about a little boy by the name of Noah Biorkman. I am sure many of you have already heard of him, but there may be some of you that would like to know of him. My little sister is actually the one that passed his information along to me.
Noah Biorkman is a 5 yr old little boy who is terminally ill with neuroblastoma cancer. He has been fighting cancer since he was 3 yrs old, but now is unlikely to make it to Christmas. As I read the story of Noah, I burst into tears. My worst nightmare as a parent is losing one of my precious children. For this family, this is now rapidly becoming a reality. What can you say or do to lessen the pain of what that family is about to experience?
Well, for little Noah’s family, they are asking for Christmas cards. This little boy that is in hospice is celebrating Christmas this weekend because he loves it so much. That alone is enough to break your heart. In the article that I read on the Detroit Local News, he said of the things he has received, an angel figurine ornament was his favorite because it reminded him of where he’ll soon be. “In heaven, and I’m going to be an angel, he said. In my mind he already is an angel!
If you want to help make this little guys last Christmas as AMAZING as it can be, you can send him a card to this address.

The family is asking for no gifts. If you want to send anything, send $1 which they will donate to their local “Make a Wish” Chapter and the University Of Michigan neuroblastoma research center. This is just one more way we can offer HOPE for a CURE to another child that may suffer from this horrible disease one day.
Remember Noah, everytime a bell rings, an angel gets his wings. May you soar with the angels!! ![]()

It always breaks my heart to hear of these illnesses. They are always in my prayers!

I feel for families dealing with cancer, my husband is lucky enough to have a type he can beat. I will share this info with all of the patients at the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis, we go there for my hubby's chemo. I am sure they would love to help out.
I've heard of this and plan on letting my kids pick out cards for him.
Thanks so much for sharing this. How very sad, but touching.
What a GREAT Christmas for Noah! Glad to see you are spreading the word, as well!
Thanks for sharing this…it's very sad…God bless his entire family
I heard about this. It is so sad. Thanks for the post. It reminded me to go pick out a card to send to him.
