Reading is such an important thing for a child. I know sometimes as a mom things can get hectic during the day for us. My son loves to play on the computer, but I like for it to be educational and not just all games. I found a website called Wizz-e.com they are an online site that combines fun with reading.
This website allows my son to do something he enjoys while allowing me to not feel guilty. When we first started looking at the books offered at Wizz-e, my son wasn’t very interested. He was not that into reading yet, but as time went on he started to enjoy watching the animation of the stories. Then he actually started to follow along with the words. It was so cute!!
This website is good for a little guy like mine or an older child learning to read. It is geared towards children 3-8. As the story is told the child can either read the words themselves or have the story read to them. If you choose to have the story read to them, the words light up so they can follow along. They can also stop and start the story as needed.
There are new stories and traditional fairytales published as animated multi-media picture books. They include classics like Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs and The Ugly Duckling. There are also new stories I had never heard of such as, Floppy the One-Eared Rabbit. It was mine and my sons favorite to read. The only complaint I had about the site, was some of the words read by the computer were hard to understand. Of course it didn’t bother my son at all!

This sounds like something my son would really like. He loves the computer and is starting to get more into reading. Might have to head over there and take a look!

I hadn't heard of this before and my daughter usually knows all the sites to go to. It sounds much better than Nickjr or some of the other ones that are just filled with commercials. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the tip.
