Hats off to Jennifer McMahon!! “Dismantled” is a book that I never would have purchased or checked out from the library. Thanks Clueless Mama and Harper/Collins Publishing for helping me to branch out of my comfort zone once again to read a really GREAT book! This book will keep you on edge and as this blog is called, “Guessing all the Way”. You never know what is going to happen next.
I would have to rate the book “R” for language. I do not use language like this and I really do not like to watch a movie with a lot of language. However, I can kind of skim over it in a book. In the case of this book, the language was real, not just stuck in there just to be there. The characters in this book would have talked this way.
The characters Henry, Tess, Winnie, and Suz banded together in college to form a group they called the Compassionate Dismantlers. Their theory was “To understand the nature of a thing, it must be taken apart”. If you like a chiller or even if you don’t, this book is a must for you. Very suspenseful, but ends with good closure. I like that! I have already passed this book on to my brother to enjoy. Do not read at night if you are a scaredy cat!!!
