I have never been Tan, but not by lack of trying. One time I decided to try a tanning bed for the first time and no one told me that the idea time for a new person was. I'm very white. I mean paper white. I had heard that 15 minutes was normal tanning time. So what did I do I hopped in the tanning bed for 15 minutes my very first time. I was red from head to toe and "Every" space between. I haven't tanned again since than.
I have had about the same experiences as several of the others! Use self tanner in the house and think I look good, go outside and ORANGE..oooohhhh! Feet, elbows, hands, I just quit! I was so embarrassed one time because we were going to a get together and I had very orange feet, just tried to keep them tucked under me. I am in CO now and I could tan, but the sun is soo intense, probably not good for someone in the prime of their life. I am very very white and I would love to try the Famous Dave's Tanner!

My worst "tan" ever was a spray tan for NYE for a Miami themed party. My pores were all bright orange on my face! I looked orange and dirty, it was awful! I went home early!

Well I used to bake in the sun as well and stopped years ago because I would rather be white than wrinkled. I am so white and could so use a tan. I have tried many self tanners also to find the color is always awful, not to mention the smell of them.
I have two stories to tell…
1. I burned by hiney on the tanning bed so bad one time that I could not sit down properly, was not funny while trying to conduct closings at work.
2. My one and ONLY spray tan booth experience… I am claustrophobic, but thought I would give the spray tan booth a try. Well as soon as the spray hit me in the face I started to feel like I couldn't breathe! I was trying frantically to get out of the booth and couldn't get the door open and of course when I finally did get out I was standing there naked, freaking out and only tan on the front and only as far down as my shoulders. My friend was laughing so hard that I almost didn't like her anymore.
I need this because who has time to tan with a baby? (And who couldn't use a pick me up?)

My worst self tanner was from Victoria's Secret. Now don't get me wrong, I love VS, but this particular tanner was horrible. I think it was when they first came out with their own and the product rubbed off on my sheets and then on my socks I put on the next day. I looked down at my feet that afternoon and all I could see was the product on my socks. Very disappointed. I can't wait to win this, so I'm going to order a bottle tonight. Thank you for sharing.

My worst tanning nightmare sadly happened about a week before my wedding. I thought I would be sneaky and get a Mystic tan and apparently I'm not the right skin tone for it because I was an orange mess. Thank goodness scrubbing and giving into the tanning beds evened it out enough that I didn't look like a pumpkin walking down the aisle, but my feet were orange for months!!

My worst tanning experience? I went to FL for spring break while in college and ummm spent a little bit too much time in the sun. That night I went to see theater and wore nylons. I was itching and in so much pain that night!

I had been self tanning myself all last winter. Like every day. I thought I was doing such a great job. I felt hip and all summery.
Then I took my kids to a pool play date. And in the fluorescent lights, I suddenly realized how orange I was. How utterly and deeply orange I was. So embarrassing, but there is no hiding in a kiddie pool.
I need a tan,I burn and peel and then I get extra freckles!I don't think freckles count as a tan!!
