I had no idea all the ways Coconut could be used to make products until I found Tropical Traditions. I was amazed as I looked over their site at the multiple items they had to offer. I, being who I am, had to know more. Hey, inquiring minds want to know. After talking with them, I was sent a quart of the Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil. I was also sent the book entitled, “Virgin Coconut Oil, how it has changed people’s lives and how it can change yours” by Brian and Marianita Shilhavy.
The book was very interesting. I know what you are thinking, “Really, a book on coconut oil?” It is true though! The story and details behind how Tropical Traditions came to be will amaze you. It is also very interesting from a technical standpoint to read the process of creating this unique Virgin Coconut Oil. The best part of the book of course was the recipes. I love to cook, so I am always looking for new recipes. The book includes over 85 recipes. You can also find additional recipes on their site Tropicaltraditions.com. Last night I made a homemade pizza. Instead of using my usual olive oil, I put the Virgin Coconut Oil on the crust. It made the crust have a slight sweetness. It was SO GOOD!
The Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil arrived to me in liquid form. I went to bed, and when I woke up it had changed to completely white and solid. At first, I was not sure what had happened (remember I’m Clueless). Well, after reading the label I realized that it was normal. The oil solidifies once it goes below 76 degrees. So should this happen to you, do not be alarmed as I was.
The Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil has a very light flavor. One of the things that I liked about this product was that it had the scent and taste of a fresh coconut. After reading the book, I learned this is not true with Refined Coconut Oils. This Virgin Coconut Oil is also certified USDA Organic. The other thing I found unique about this product was that it is made by hand in small batches. The company has stayed true to its product and in making it the best it can be. You can’t say that about most products these days. I cannot wait to try the recipes from the book, especially after seeing how good my pizza turned out.
If you think you would like a copy of the book, I have good news for you. You can get a complimentary copy by participating in Tropical Traditions referral program. When you place your first order just use the code 5472410 in the “who referred you link” this identifies you as a reader of my blog. You can also get free products by referring one of your friends and having them use your name in the “who referred you link”. The book is a great way to find out all the additional ways Virgin Coconut Oil can benefit you and your body!
